On October 15th, we will be hosting a Treasured Tree celebration at 2:00 pm at WNCAP (554 Fairview Road, Asheville). Asheville Greenworks will award WNCAP's white oak with a certificate and plaque, making it Oakley's newest Treasured Tree.
After the ceremony, Chardin Detrich, Arborist with Preservation Arborists will lead a tree stroll on a nearby loop, helping with tree identification, answering informal questions, and cheering our many old-growth trees along the way.
If you are able, please walk to the event as parking is limited. If driving, please consider coming early to find parking on side roads.
